About

We love creating and designing these one of a kind wall sculptures.
We have been working with recycled metals since 1997.
Our metal is the kind salvaged off old barn roofs etc. Of course being corrigated sheet metal, we had to find a way to flatten it to make it workable. Since it comes in rather large sheets we have to cut it into smaller pieces and use our truck to flatten it. Each 3 foot section has to be run over a half a dozen times or so. This is the only method we have found that really works.
After washing all the metal we can then trace our own hand drawn designs. We then rough cut around each one with electric shears. After that each design has to be cut out with tin snips. Everything is hand filed and often with sculpted facial feature details.

The flattening process continues with a lot of pounding and sculpting for a 2D effect. All parts are prepared for soldering by grinding various areas. Pieces are then soldered together and each one is hand painted with an outdoor acrylic metal paint. The hair has been cut, curled and styled from the same recycled metal.
All of our metal has quite a history as it has been reclaimed from many structures ranging from 50 to 100 years old. This alone makes our sculptures quite unique.
We hope you are amused by our whimsical conversation pieces. The most frequent comment that we hear from our customers is that our sculptures make them smile.
