About

I have always loved jewelry, when I was a young girl my Grandfather made me some beautiful jewelry with jasper and turqouise. He was a "rock hound" and became very skilled at creating beautiful pieces. I still have some of the ones Grandpa made for me and I cherish them.

As a teenager I started to do beadwork with seed beads, I fell in love with the patterns and colors. It was wonderful to see all the different work from other "highly skilled" bead artists.

When I married my husband, I found the most amazing ivory brocade dress for an incredible price! I searched for the perfect jewelry to wear, but soon found that my tastes were way to expensive for what we could afford. I decided to make my own wedding jewelry set, this is where my journey begins.

I educated myself about pearls and gemstones, absorbing all this inforamtion like a sponge. The more I learned, the more I wanted to know. It was all so fascinating! Pearls especially captured me, the only gemstone created by a living creature. How unique and amazing that something so breathtakingly beautiful started out as an irritation, kind of ironic!

I was fortunate enough to get a part time job in a small local jewelry store. Little did I realize this was the opportunity of a life time for the knowledge I would gain. I was taught pearl grading
and tons of information on gemstones and jewelry in general. The bench jeweler helped me pick out my wedding pearls and I was thrilled. I couldn't wait to get home and make my wedding set! It turned out stunning, to this day I still take them out and admire them, even after almost 8 years I am still in love with my pearls.

In 2003 I decided to get a little more serious about my passion for jewelry and secured a business license. I sold my jewelry at craft fairs and farmers markets as well as 3 shops in other states. It was wonderful to earn some extra money doing what I loved.

In November of 2009 I had back surgery (major surgery, ouch!) and was off work for 3 months. After the first few days, I was bored and feared I would go stark raving mad. I am not one to sit and take it easy, nope not in my nature, so I started making jewelry and opened my very first online shop at Etsy! Wow, big step for me, I was always a little intimidated to venture into online selling, but I did it!

This bring me to the present, I just went back to work and ok I'll be honest! I Want To Quit My Day Job!!! I work for W*&#*%#* and my only dream is to earn a living doing what I love most, Making Jewelry. Somedays I work on pieces for hours and don't even realize what time it is until my husband comes home from work! This is my passion and I want to express it full time! OK, done, I'll step down from my soap box. LOL

Now that I've talked your ear off! Sorry, thank you for reading and don't think I'm to wacky.

Have a Wonderful Day and Live, Laugh and Love!
