About

I grew up in New Jersey and studied Art Education at Rowan University. After graduating I taught for one year in Burlington, NJ.

I moved to Spring Hill, Florida in 1988 and landed a job teaching 3rd Grade, which I did for two years. I went on to teach Art in the county for the next 22 years. For the last 13 years I have been teaching at a magnet school for the arts. I am challenged every day by my students and inspired by them.

I have practiced many different art forms over the years and my style of painting has changed greatly. I seriously started to paint a few years ago in 2006. My own children were older and more independent and no longer wanted to play in the paint. I enjoy experimenting with several different mediums and mixing them together. I love the different odd sizes of some of my paintings, which can go on walls where standard painting might not fit or look good. Sometimes I add beads or glitter to my art. I also like to write poems and love adding words or the poem into the art.

I hope you enjoy my work. I will keep painting and posting more pieces.

Out of chaos comes beauty.
