I am originally from Carrickfergus, Northern Ireland. I studied Textiles at John Moore’s University, Liverpool, before moving and settling in London in 1996, where I completed a Masters degree in Textiles at Chelsea College of Art.

I have been developing these printing techniques for over 20 years now and I love experimenting with the synergy of colour, texture and composition to get the end results.

I work mostly with wild-flowers and plants found in the wastelands and derelict places of London's urban meadows. In the printing process, the plants work as a resist, giving them a 3-D, almost photographic quality which enhances their detail, pattern and scale. A handful of weeds transform into the depths of the forest; the intricacy of a fractal fern is revealed; texture, colour and shade evoke a mysterious, fantasy realm. Thus…
