Jennifer Green's Profile

About

I'm a textile artist, wife, and mother of two living in the suburbs of a big city always looking for ways to fuel the creative fire within my red-haired, freckled self (ie: Ginger Freckle). I'm crazy about blankets - always have been - flannel receiving blankets, quilts, knitted blankets, minky blankets, fleece blankets, crocheted blankets, woven blankets....I've been making them every which way for over 20 years.

Fabric has always been a memorable part of my life. Whether it was a soft cotton blankey or flannel pj's, that tactile memory has always stuck with me. I learned to sew when I was 13 and have been stitching things ever since. I think that's why I ended up with a BFA in textiles and continued along the same vein in grad school where I learned how weave, embroider, dye, embellish, and design fabric patterns.
