About

Our family has a long history and love of doll clothes. As a child, my grandmother would make us beautiful hand-sewn doll clothes, (literally, hand-sewn, as she did not have a sewing machine) with beautiful details such a sewn-in pearl necklaces and skirts embellished with embroidered flowers. With this background, plus a mother who taught us to sew I made my first American Girl Doll clothes as a gift to my niece in 1987. I brought them into work to show my co-workers and they all wished to purchase the outfits, even before knowing what the dolls were. And as they say, “The rest is history.” I
