About

Hi everyone. I've been creating mosaics since 2001 when I became inspired by the work of an artist in Atlanta. There's something that really speaks to me about the act of creating a whole, beautiful object from pieces and parts that alone might seem rather ordinary or nonfunctional.
I have no formal art training, but rather taught myself (trial and quite a bit of error initially) until I found the best techniques and a style that suits me. I prefer using stained glass; and I hand cut every piece that goes into my mosaics. With careful spacing this creates something that seems to place a more modern spin on the traditional art form.
I am a veterinarian by day, and love it! It pays the bills to let me pursue this other love of mine.

Mosaic has been not only an immensely enjoyable art form, but an almost necessary creative outlet over the years. There's nothing like working on a mosaic to make everything else fade away. It has brought me immense happiness and I look forward to the opportunities that I have to work on a piece.
Most of my pieces take 40-60 hours (or more!) to complete. I have both functional and wall-mounted pieces and do commissioned work as well. In my work, I particularly like the use of bold, vibrant colors and toying around with fractured mirror. Recently I have had a great time stretching myself and creating mosaic portraits and other micromosaic detailed pieces in grayscale. My favorite types of glass to work with are the textured glasses, fused-fractured glass, and Van Gogh glass. I hope you enjoy my art as much as I enjoy creating it. Please don't hesitate to ask any questions. Thanks for your interest!
