About

Glochidion jewellery, accessories and art are inspired by the endless detail and beauty found within the natural world and the wonder and mystery of old faery tales. This source of inspiration imbues Glochidion creations with a sense of ethereal magic, organic delicacey and romance.

Are you wondering about the name GLOCHIDION? it is in fact the scientific name of the Cheese Tree or Button Wood; a native to South East Queensland where the designer grew up. She would explore the bushland and climb this enchanted tree, staying in it until dust to recharge her creative energy, in a world of her own … So, a well suited name for these exquisite creations.

Each piece is lovingly constructed by hand using quality materials including Swarovski Crystalized Elements, semi-precious stones, glass, wood and ceramic beads. Most Glochidion pieces are one-off and even have their very own name. The process of creation involves an array of varied techniques. Our Designer Annika Forsberg Bachelor of Fine Art with Honours, spends hours hand wiring, weaving, threading, moulding, gluing and sewing intricate detail, which mirrors that of her own drawings and paintings. Special stones are chosen; this reflect a unique meaning associated with each piece. Often wooden beads are hand painted with delicate designs. These Artisan techniques ensure that your Glochidion piece is truly unique.

Our accessories and jewellery make the perfect gift for a loved one, or even yourself, you will enjoy them for years to come!!

Made with LOVE of course!!
