PJ Jonas' Profile

About

Goat Milk Stuff is the family business of the Jonas Family. We're made up of Jim (Dad), PJ (Mom), Brett, Colter, Emery, Fletcher, Greyden, Hewitt, Indigo, Jade.

The children are an integral part of Goat Milk Stuff. Each one has a role in the business, from milking the goats to making our hand-crafted soaps to shipping out our customers' orders. We use milk from our own (antibiotic and hormone free) herd of Alpine dairy goats to make our soaps using the cold process method. We do not heat treat our soaps, but allow them to cure for 4-6 weeks. This creates a long lasting, bubbly, gentle bar that we not only use on our own skin, but offer for sale so you can feel the difference good soap makes.

Why use goat milk? The cream and proteins that are present in the milk moisturizes your skin the way soap made with water doesn't do. I am blessed to not have sensitive skin, but my husband works outside year round and always suffered with dry skin in the winter time. Since using our goat milk soap, the dry skin on his hands no longer cause them to split open and bleed. Our whole family uses the exact same soaps that we offer our customers, who tell us they appreciate our natural, high-quality ingredients.

We use natural fats, coconut oil and olive oil to make our soaps. The colors in our soaps do not come from dyes or synthetic colors. We only use natural clays, micas, and herbs to color our soaps. Most of our soaps are scented with high quality essential or fragrance oils. All of the oils we use are paraben and phthalate free.

Each bar of our soap is hand cut to be a large bar that weighs between 4.5 and 5 ounces. They measure 3.5" x 1.5" x 1.5" when cut, but may shrink slightly as they cure (depending on the age of the bar). Each bar is individually unique in appearance due to being handcrafted.

Each bar of soap comes wrapped in a 4" x 6" cotton bag that we hand stamp. This is friendlier to the environment than plastic and lets your soaps breathe. Each one is completely reusable.

For even healthier skin, we've added lip balms, lotion sticks, and bath fizzies to our product line. We've also made natural goat milk laundry products to replace the commercial soaps and detergents that contain harmful chemicals for your skin.

Orders will ship USPS priority mail with delivery confirmation and typically arrive in 2-3 business days. About 99% of orders placed before 11am EST will ship out the same day. With very few exceptions, all orders are filled and sent out within 48 hours of receipt.

Please remember that our soaps are each made by hand and may not be identical to the soap pictured in our etsy listing.

We hope you enjoy using our soaps as much as we do!
