♥ The name of my studio is derived from my grandmother Julia's quirky yard. She lived in a little emerald green house blessed with river bottom soil, rich and black. All over the yard was scattered a myriad of plants, most of which cropped up in unexpected places. Sweet Williams close to the rickety gate, gooseberry bush near the back door, strawberries on the south side of the house. She had chickens (in the city) that laid brown eggs in a old cobbled together coop. Her gingerbread was baked in tin cans so the loaves came out nice and round, perfect for slicing. So from the quirkiness of her home comes Gooseberry Studio, bright green, shiny and sour berries.....
