Rain Girl Designs started on etsy as Gothicreations in 2006. Over time my business and style grew and it no longer works. Everything is still all made entirely by me in my home studio.
I live in the Puget Sound area of Washington (the state).
I first learned to sew when I was 7. My mom is an avid quilter and she taught me how my make little quilts for my dolls. I was even allowed to use a real sewing machine. But like all kids my interest faded. Although I did keep some sewing skills up over the years by trying my hand are garment making and other little projects.

I started my own line of bags quite by accident. Several years ago, more than I care to admit to or even recall really, I was in need of a new purse. I went shopping at the mall and could not find anything that suited me or my needs. So I came home and decided I would try making one. I actually made something I was proud of and soon people were stopping me asking where I got it.
Over the years I have tried my hand at a number of creative and crafty endeavors but sewing seems to be where I fully shine. I love hearing back from my buyers how much they love their bag or their iPad cover.

All my items are made in a smoke free environment but I am pet friendly. Although I currently do not own any pets I do have dog visitors on occasion. All my items are cut out by hand from quality fabric. I do use a sewing machine for all the sewing as this gives the best look and strongest durability. I have three sewing machines:
Brother - self-oiling, needle feed industrial machine. This is the main one
Single 500A (aka the rocketeer)
Singer 206
Singer 221 Featherweight (repainted pink)
