About

I've always been crafty. I remember my mother teaching me to sew when I was in the second grade. I didn't get to use a machine, just a needle and thread, but it made me feel so important to be able to make skirts for my barbie dolls. A few years later, my sisters and I were creating full on fashions with my mom's leftover fabric and old sheets, on my grandmother's old Sears sewing machine. We felt like trendsetters, in the basement, trying on our fashions. I have been hooked on "scratch" crafts since...sewing, crochet, knitting, baking, paper making, candle making, soap making.

Now I'm an adult. Sometimes I look back and wonder where I went wrong. I spend 40+ hours working at a desk and with clients, doing a job that I find doesn't fulfill me in the way I want.

I want more, and I crave that crafting life I once had when I was younger: discovering new stitches, patterns, methods, and exploring. When I'm not in front of a computer and behind a desk, I enjoy life with my boyfriend and our dog, Frank, a monster of a puggle! He is a rare treat-- all monster and our little boy---I love him so much I hate leaving him when I go to work. My goal one day is to quit my day job and open a bakery that features a different local craftsman each month. I wish to bring the general store and "Little House on the Prairie" feel back to this electronic, emailing, texting go go go way of life.

Every item I sell has been handmade by me. My goal is to be able to provide quality handmade items that are in limited quantity or one of a kind to those that wish for affordable couture. My favorite, however, is a hand made scarf. The love that goes into a scarf is felt and keeps the wearer warm all season long. Its well worth it to splurge on this one item, knowing someone made this just for you!

I try to keep myself busy, volunteering, cooking, work, and life.
