About

I'm Greg. I am driven by the desire to be creative and make things whether it's designing and building my own kayak, making an incinerator out of an old water heater tank, building bird houses using natural knot holes found in the woods, making herbal tinctures or fermenting hot sauce from home grown peppers.

There is no limit to the types of material that can inspire a desire to create something. Hence the name of my endeavors: Wood Bone & Stone. All tangible elements on earth available for creative use fall into three classifications: animal, vegetable and mineral. There is no limit to the types of material that can inspire a desire to create something. Hence the name of my endeavors: Wood Bone & Stone. Historically humans in the most primitive of circumstances reach for these very items for survival and creativity.

Nothing beats the satisfaction of making something and knowing that someone likes and wants it. Over the years I have made many items "to order" and have found that it can then become a "job" that lacks the motivation and satisfaction of creating something and knowing someone loves it. I therefore avoid doing custom work but have been known to make exceptions with a lot of arm twisting (and money) when the creative challenge is appealing enough. I hope you like the things I make and that I make the things you like!
