Great Escape because these are the things I do and make to escape from the every day...

I learnt to sew when I was 8, I learnt to knit soon after, and childhood holidays with my grandmother were spent crafting in the kitchen, rummaging through bags of scraps making peg dolls and working with leather, flower arranging, and following her in everything she did.

I sometimes make clothes, I always make a lot of my home decor, from cushion covers and dog beds to lamp shades and sometimes even furniture.

When I need to forget the routine of everyday I reach for my (grandmother's) sewing machine and let my imagination run free. All items here are designed by me, and are things I use and love, things I give my friends as gifts. I like simple, functional, clean lines and bright happy colours. I hope you like them too.

For a lot of things I make, I recycle or upcycle things I already have, or look for original materials to make usual things. Probably something to do with the fact I work in conservation in my everyday life :)

I sometimes list some of my photos at my other shop: http://www.etsy.com/shop/misskcc

and I sometimes write about the motivation for the things I make at http://grtescp.wordpress.com

and I am open to trading items for something of a similar value, so if you see something you like and you would like to trade it with something from your shop, send me a convo, and maybe we can do a deal - there are a whole bunch of people doing this at the EST team: www.etsy.com/teams/5127/european-street-team-est/discuss/11225150/
