The Artwork:
My paintings exude a love of representation. I use a colorful, fluid palette to infuse the canvas with expressive brushwork. I like to leave my mark so you know I've worked the canvas.

My style can be best described as “painterly representation” and is strongly influenced by the vibrant colors seen in post-impressionists such as Matisse and Bonnard.

I typically work from my own photos taken of street scenes. I work out the composition on canvas, picking and choosing the elements that interest me most. The result is a lively, often edgy, depiction of urban living.
