About

Something sewn becomes a creation of the seamstress and no two items are ever identical. It is an art form created using fabric as the medium and only limited by one's imagination. I love sewing and creating using fabric and my own imagination.

Growing up in a family of all girls (except for my poor Dad) sewing was part of my life. Taught by my mother along with my four sisters, we are all avid seamstresses. I started sewing at age seven which was over 50 years ago. Originally I only sewed for myself, my children, or my friends. However, I discovered that sewing is becoming a dying art and fewer and fewer people are passing this skill onto the next generation. Many schools have dropped the Home Economics classes that offered the opportunities for kids to learn the art and craft. I am always willing to teach someone to sew.
