Sawako is Mai's mother. She lives in Hokkaido, Japan. She has been sewing and knitting through her whole life. When her daughter was a child, her clothes were all handmade by her. She was also a teacher of Japanese traditional dance. Therefore, she is knowledgeable about Japanese Silk, Kimono, and an accomplished knitter and dress maker.

Thank you.
