I have been crocheting for decades and recently learned to knit. I look at the prices of handmade items and I shudder. How can people possibly justify charging as much as they do? Yes, yarn is expensive, and yes, it does take time to make things. I enjoy making things, though, so I don't consider it to be time wasted nor do I expect to be paid an outrageous amount for the time that I spend doing something that I love to do. Therefore, I have tried to price my items high enough to cover the cost of the yarn with just a little bit thrown in for my time and effort. Every sale I make allows me to purchase more yarn, so buy a lot and I can keep constructing quality, classy items that a normal person can afford.
