Hannah Black's Profile

About

Hannah Black is a ceramic artist who received her BFA with a ceramics concentration at Michigan State University. During that time she taught ceramic classes for East Lansing Parks and Recreation and was the art club teacher for a local private school. After college she used her design skills working as a Product Designer for a home décor company. This valuable experience gave her exposure to creativity from outside the studio, however she began to realize her love for clay and missed life in the studio as an artist.

She is now a full-time artist working in her private studio and stays connected to her community through teaching art classes for kids at Northwestern College and working with local artists. Along with her sculptural vessels, she has recently expanded into making ceramic jewelry, inspired by her larger works. See her website: hannahblackceramics.com for more…
