About

I have been a craft lover and maker since I made my first cookery apron at school, and through the years have enjoyed any new craft that came along. Living with my American husband in Colorado, I was indeed spoilt for choice in crafing.
Moving back to Britain with my family, I found myself buying crafts from US companies [the post was cheaper then]. Britain at that time was not into crafts like the US. Nowadays We have caught up with our US cousins and it's a joy to be able to craft from the huge range available to us Brits.
Being a widow now, I needed something to fill my day and discovered jewellery making. At first I began by getting local ladies crafting jewellery with me, but when my stash of jewellery pieces grew, I knew if I wanted to continue I had to have an outlet for selling my jewellery.

I found Etsy mentioned in a magazine and knew that was the place to sell. My business is growing all the time, and keeps me happy sharing what I design and craft with the wider world out there.
I craft jewellery during the day when the light is good. I then began knitting for charity and decided to add knitted scarves to the mix in my shop. They are lovely to knit in the evenings when it's cold and dark early.
My jewellery making began with glass beads, then I discovered genuine semi precious gemstones and love them, so mainly work with gems now, but the beauty of glass beads still thrills me.
I am careful to buy from suppliers who care about where they buy there supplies from and care about the environment. I strive to make the items of jewellery easy to fasten for those of you who have hands that don't quite work as they once did, [I'm one of those people] or just can't manage fiddly clasps. I craft stretchy bracelets and beaded watches. For my necklaces the magnetic clasps are wonderful as they are so easy to use.
