About

I started making jewelry in the fall of 2009 because I love working with my hands and I couldn’t find anything in the stores that really represented me. I wanted a look that was distinctly feminine but with an edge. It had to be light, very wearable, inexpensive and unique. Also I wanted an element of grit with my glam.
I found my inspiration in maybe the rarest of places, the hardware store. I started playing around with brass and steel hardware parts like cir clips, cotter pins and washers. Eventually the number of designs I had come up with was starting to look like a collection. As I wore my creations people took notice and soon I was making jewelry for people in my community.
Now HardWear Jewelry has become not just a passion but an income for me. I’m so happy to bring you my creations and hope that you’ll enjoy wearing this gritty fashion as much as my friends and I do.
