About

My father died at age 93 in June of 2014, and my mother has subsequently needed more care, so I have almost ground to a halt on jewelry making for awhile. My Dad was a great influence on me in doing art, as he was very much of a Renaissance man who tried many media from watercolor to oil painting, from sculpture to jewelry making. He encouraged many people to do art and had many students from his high school teaching days who still think of him fondly.
I hope I will be back to work making more jewelry soon; thanks for your interest and your patience. Please check back again soon.

My earliest memories, since I was in my stroller, are of being taken into art museums and galleries. I remember seeing an exhibit of Salvador Dali's fabulous jewel sculptures. My Dad taught commercial art and photography for many years and did jewelry work, painting, sculpting, photography and sign painting, as well as building and repairing things, often with me at his elbow as a child. My Mom sewed, wrote stories and was a wonderful cook who engaged my sister and me in all sorts of arts and crafts projects from an early age, which kept us off the streets and out of the bars -- mostly! -- and for which I am eternally grateful to her.

Unlike apparently most other Etsians, I have no wonderful husband, nor 2.5 beautiful children. Think more Erma Bombeck on Effexor than Laura Ashley; more Charles Addams than Anne Geddes and you'll get the picture. I live with eight cats of indeterminate pedigrees, most of them rescues. I believe one must have cats numbering in the double digits before qualifying for Crazy Cat Lady status, though. I simply love animals; however, I do eat animals, as well, one of those eternal debates I keep having with myself.

Also, I make a regular monthly donation to the World Wildlife Fund, and to various other charitable organizations on a rotating basis, including WaterStep, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Seva Foundation, so remember, your purchase doesn't just feed me and my eight animals, it helps endangered wildlife and the world, too!

Welcome to my World! One World, One Family.

My jewelry is not recommended for young children, because of the beads which are glass and fragile.
