About

Hi there! Thank you for your interest. My love of miniatures began several years ago. It all started out innocently enough with miniature gardens. The vast range of dwarf trees, miniature ground coverings, shrubs and flowers along with the tiny scaled accessories (ie: rain boots, watering can, garden bench along with a lovely pitcher of pink lemonade and glass...), became a favorite pastime of mine.
Long story short, I realised that during the winter months I was unable to create these treasures. I still enjoyed searching Etsy's variety of dollhouse miniature items for the perfect piece.

Hi there! Thank you for your interest. My love of miniatures began several years ago. It all started out innocently enough with miniature gardens. Long story short, I realised that during the winter months I was unable to create these treasures. I still enjoyed searching Etsy's variety of dollhouse miniature items for the perfect piece.
And, that was it! I come from a background of furniture and interior design for many years. Creating miniatures allows me to continue my passion for intriguing homes, cottages, furnishings, lighting, wall coverings, custom fabrics and designs.
My work is typically in 1:12, one inch or 1:24, half inch scale. I enjoy working in mixed media, this includes clay, paint, varnishes, glazing, wood, metal and textiles. I work with acquired unfinished pieces, kits and my own designs.
Sometimes it is a cottage, a scene, a piece of fabric which turns into a wing chair. An antique chandelier of crystals dripping from years of worn iron.
Thank you for visiting and please check back, as my pieces are always unique, constantly changing, and very often chippy, worn and faded in a most elegant way.
