About

Crafting has been in my family for generations. My grandmother and mother passed on to me the love of making things with my hands. I relish learning historic craft skills from weaving and spinning to sewing and basket making. I feel that these handmade traditions are heirlooms that are worthy of preserving and passing down to the next generation. I must admit I'm quite the softie for vintage patterns!

Over the last 13 years I have freelanced for several magazines and websites creating projects that range from crochet patterns to kids crafts. I am passionate about sharing my love of creativity and encouraging others to find a new hobby.

Over the last 13 years I have freelanced for several magazines and websites creating projects that range from crochet patterns to kids crafts. I am passionate about sharing my love of creativity and encouraging others to find a new hobby.

When I'm not crafting I stay busy as the editor of a magazine devoted to heirloom gardening as well as helping out in my husband's heirloom seed company. Throughout the year our family hosts festivals at our historic farm and pioneer village in southern Missouri, and provide a place for historic demonstrators to showcase their crafts. We desire to provide a place for these crafters to teach others so we will not lose these precious skills between the cracks of time.

Being a wife, mother, home business owner, graphic designer, editor, critter lover and crafter does tend to fill my days to the brim. However, I count it a blessing to be able to do what I love and enjoy every minute of it.
