Lorraine's Profile

About

Hi,

My name is Lorraine and I live in beautiful Upstate NY in a small town called Little Falls, at the foot of the great Adirondack Mountains. We have mountains, state parks, farmland, lakes, rivers, and forests. Every season has a beauty all it's own. We are famous for our cheese. There is not alot of industry in the area, but we have colleges and many talented artists.

I have 3 grown children, each with children of their own. Although I am considered a grandmother, I am not your average, everyday grandma. I come from the "Baby Boomer" Era, and have actually lived through the historical 60's and 70's. My grandkids don't believe me when I tell them some of the songs today were actually written during the 60's and 70's.....that is until they hear me sing the words by heart. Then they say they believe, but I think it's just to shut…

My grandkids don't believe me when I tell them some of the songs today were actually written during the 60's and 70's.....that is until they hear me sing the words by heart. Then they say they believe, but I think it's just to shut me up.

I began scrapbooking when I started having grandkids. All of a sudden, it took me over. I simply couldn't get enough of it. I feel like an author that has so much to write about and the book ideas just keep coming and coming!

During the day I work at a local tea company as a QA Tech. I am a certified tea taster! At night, however, the fangs, claws, and hair grows out and I turn into a Scrap-happy maniac and am totally in my element! The midnight oil burns sometimes way into the wee hours of the morning. Paper pieces, ribbon clips, and fabric swatches begin to carpet my craft room. Every once-in-awhile you can hear me sing a little note on the page I'm working on at the time. For example, while making the book for the girl motercycle, "Wild Thing", yup, that's all I kept singing the whole time...with lots of adlib included!

Send me an idea, any idea, and I will make an album about it and list it in my shop.
