About

Over 15 years ago I left the 8 to 5 corporate grind to stay home with my then 3 year old daughter. I began buying vintage brass for my personal use, I then began selling vintage brass components within a year of finding a source. Leaving that grind was the best decision that I ever made!

I almost exclusively sell only American made stampings and findings, most being vintage from East Coast warehouses. Vintage American made stampings and filigrees are made from thicker gauge brass and are stronger than the new items made to LOOK vintage. Most of my glass is also vintage, imported from Japan, Czechoslovakia and Germany.

If you find the same item online for less, I will try to be competitive in pricing. Please contact me to work out any details.

In Memory of...Mom & Dad

September 5, 1935 ~ June 23, 2013 My Mom, Mie (Me eh) and most recently my dad October 18, 1930 ~ August 9, 2014 My dad, Thomas

My mom passed away at home unexpectedly months after a series of surgeries for her weakened heart. My mom was a strong and stubborn woman who was the ultimate Energizer Bunny! She met and married my Japanese American born dad around the age of 17 years while still living at home in Aomori, Japan. Naïve and young, she moved to an unknown country and became the strong woman that she was. Although tiny at barely 100 pounds and just under 5 feet tall, man you would be fearful to cross her path! I suppose I always admired her strength and have become somewhat a picture of her. I also admired her ability to do most everything with precise perfection. Mom could teach Japanese flower arranging and made the most beautiful dolls making their small silk kimonos by hand. She was a true artist and so detail oriented! Her loves included animals and flowers, not to mention Bingo! In dedication and in honor of you Oka, I will continue to do the best that I can in every artistic venture I tackle and as you, I will continue to love and respect ALL animals.

My dad was a career United States Air Force MSgt serving 23 years then approx 20 more years with Lockheed in Sunnyvale, CA. Dad's Air Force career was as a weather man serving with the 54th & 56th Weather Reconnaissance Squadrons mostly over the South Pacific in the 1950s-1970s. Dad was a private reserved man who spent time with my brother and I, teaching us chess and cards, fishing and helping us build kites using old bamboo fishing rods and newspaper. Those kites flew so high it was amazing! We moved every 2 years except our final tour in Japan lasted 4 years: Aomori, Japan (pre-me), Hawaii, Guam, Yokota, Japan, Riverside, CA, Rantoul, IL, Beale AFB, CA, Tokyo, Japan and our final destination, Sunnyvale, CA. I LOVED moving although my siblings dreaded it having to leave friends behind. I've always been more of an adventurer and could adjust easily to most situations. I've always admired my dad for taking care of his family even though he worked swing and graveyard shifts during his entire Air Force career. Thanks dad, I had an adventure as an Air Force brat!!!

Love you both forever...your daughter
