Helen Gorick's Profile
My name is Helen Gorick and I studied metal smithing and jewellery at Plymouth college of Art and Design. During 2007 I discovered lampworking - the art of melting coloured rods of glass using a flame, then manipulating it into various objects. I have taken master classes with several lampwork artists from around the world.
Much of my work demonstrates my love of symmetry and bright colours, I layer the glass to give lots of depth to my designs and am known for my precision. Although only small, some of my art beads can take in excess of 3 hours to produce and result in completely unique pieces. In April of 2014 I was delighted to be one of the 4 guest artists at the UK Flame Off, the biggest event of its kind in Europe. I have written tutorials for national magazines and had my work featured in several books.
I am happy to discuss custom orders and repeats so please message me to discuss…
