Rachel has always loved creating. From playing flute as a Music Education major to sewing her bridesmaids’ dresses for her wedding, she finds that life feels richer in the midst of making something beautiful. After the birth of her son (undoubtedly the best thing she has made yet), and deciding to be a stay-at-home mom, she started an online shop at HenAndChick.etsy.com as an outlet for her sewing habit. Inspired by her family, vintage fabrics, literature, films, and nature, her favorite projects are her costume art dolls, including Jane Austen heroines, Amelie (from the 2001 French movie), fairy tale characters, and Edgar Allen Poe.
