*******REGARDING PAINTS & FINISHES*******

TEETHING RINGS:

I offer three different finishes for teethers; organic flax seed oil, organic coconut oil and all natural beeswax and olive oil. Each finish is food-grade and chemical free and safe for teething. Here is the breakdown on the benefits of each:

Organic Flax Seed Oil: We use 100% certified organic food-grade Flax Seed Oil as a finishing product for our wooden teething rings. The oil moisturizes the wood and gives a beautiful color. When ingested flax is known to have anti-inflammatory properties and is a wonderful source of omega-3 fatty acids. (Please not, any bits or flakes you see attached to the ring after being coated with flax oil is the remnants of flax fiber present in the oil and it is 100% safe to consume).

Beeswax & Olive Oil: A hand made wood creme I make myself with clean US sourced beeswax, extra virgin olive oil and a dash of organic flax for a deep rich wood color. Beeswax is known to offer anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and anti-viral benefits. We do not call our beeswax "organic" because there is no such classification in existence for beeswax as bees travel 3-4 miles from their hives to collect nectar and there is no way to verify if each and every flower pollinated is organically grown.

Organic Coconut Oil: 100% certified organic unrefined coconut oil. Coconut oil is an anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, and helps prevent tooth decay while maintaining healthy gums. For centuries people in tropical climates have used coconut oil as a cleaning agent for their teeth.

TOYS:

I offer three different wood finishes on the wooden toys I create: all natural beeswax and olive oil, all natural genuine Shellac made from Lac Beetles, and vegan finishes such as organic flax or organic coconut oil.

Beeswax & Olive Oil: A proprietary blend of beeswax and extra virgin olive oil that I make myself in my own home.

Shellac: Shellac is a natural resin produced by the Coccus lacca (lac beetle), that is harveted from trees in Southeast Asia and then mixed with pure grain alcohol to become soluble. The largest uses for shellac are for the food and drug industries. The fruits and vegetables in the produce aisle of your grocery store are likely coated with shellac as are many candies and other food products, including many pills and food supplements that have been coated with shellac to make them easier to swallow. Shellac is non-toxic and has no off-gassing or dangerous fumes when dry, it is considered the safest and most natural of all commonly used wood sealants, a popular sealant for children's toys, cribs and cutting boards.

***************Regarding Warranties*******************

I do not offer product warranties for wood teethers or toys because of the nature of my products -- everything I make is handmade of quality materials but after it leaves my home and enters another the care of each teether or toy becomes the responsibility of the customer. Toys are designed for durability, play and longevity, however those subjected to rough play, dropping, or other mishandling can break and each of these unique situations cannot be mitigated or prevented by me.

That said, if you have a situation that you feel requires my attention in regards to quality or durability, please don't hesitate to bring it to my attention. I'm always willing to communicate with customers and find amicable solutions together.
