I've always loved all things arty and handmade. There's something so precious about something someone has spent time creating. If you craft then you always appreciate the time, love and talent.

I've been painting since my school days and through the years have always taken classes in lots of different crafty subjects. You can never stop learning and it's never too late to start. Hobbies are lovely things to have and if people love your work & buy it, it's very special.

About

I'm Jennie Deane, married to Mark and mum to Rosie and Alice. We live in Sydney but I'm originally from Nottingham in the UK. hiccup art came about because I hiccup every day!

In doing lots of crafty projects like sewing, cards, knitting, jewellery, pottery...and many more....I've always come back to pen and watercolour. I've painted anything from peoples homes, pets, churches where they married, places they got engaged.

Now that my gorgeous Rosies come along it's revived my love of all things crafty and I've made patchwork quilts, frilly floral hareem pants, Bernard Bear and painted a nursery picture....amoungst other cutey things.

It's inspired me to paint some nursery paintings and I've taken inspiration from such things as my nana's caravan, which we had many happy holidays in Devon. Her telephone table that I used to love to sit on and pretend to dial the finger turn dial telephone.....so many happy childhood memories.

So, I am currently working on expanding my nursery collection and painting peoples pets. I am also writing and illustrating a book about Bernard the bear.

I do hope you like my work, it's made with lots of love. Thank you for looking.
