About

Hickory Ridge Farm is my husband, Dick's, family homestead, which was a dairy farm when he was growing up. When we moved here in the 90's I realized one of my childhood dream of having a horse, which soon became three horses. Then we rescued a barnful of Morgans and captured three Shetland sheep running wild in a wooded area. We still have horses, and have added more sheep, alpacas, a llama, Angora rabbits and chickens. The horses are great, riding and driving is a rush, but I found my passion in spinning wool and Angora fiber into yarn. I have been knitting since I was nine, therefore I have realized another childhood dream of "going-from-sheep-to-sweater". So, here we are with fleeces, roving, fur and yarn. Oh yes, the chickens - we also have eggs and a variety of feathers! Check out our "store" and let us know what think. Drucilla
