I began crocheting around the age of 10. Picked up a hook one day and figured out what to do. I'm someone who is a visual learner, but when it came to crochet, I taught myself. Over the years while growing up I lost my focus on crochet and then picked it up again my senior year of High School. I graduated, had small jobs after that and picked up the hook and yarn again. Now I have a career in Public Safety and Crochet has become a part of relaxation and after work "therapy" for me.

I have always made gifts for others that were handmade. My mother taught me a lot about being creative as a small child and would alway lead me to the craft aisle at the store to let me pick out whatever project I wanted to try. Now as an adult I still make things for others. I would get complements on my work and would be told "you could sell this". I don't remember exactly how I came across Etsy but…

It was something that I thought was exactly what I had been looking for since booths were so expensive at craft shows and my schedule never seemed to match up to the events.
