My husband and I have been married since November 1984. It has not all been easy, but then things worth having usually aren't. We've done a lot of growing together. We are stronger for all the storms we've come through. He has always been my biggest fan and most ardent supporter. His dreams for me have always been bigger than mine. He sees me going farther than I do. I used to be a shy, quiet little girl and would never have imagined I could grow and change so much. He has never doubted that I would. He allows me the freedom to be who I am.

We have 2 beautiful grown children, a boy and a girl, though both still live at home. They are kind and compassionate and have a love for others. I am blessed to be their mom. I treasure these last days. One day all too soon, they will fly on their own. I also have a granddaughter, also living with me, that brings such joy and sunshine. She is absolutely precious and I love watching her grow.

I have been a crafter for so long now that I can't remember how my addiction got started. I do remember how it got worse. It is all my daughter's fault! She is highly creative too. She is always making things. The problem---she was making them all over the house. So we had to designate a "craft area" where we tried to contain our creativity. It started out as a table, then a table with bookshelves in a corner of the room. Now I have a whole room and it is still not enough! My daughter has created her own crafting space in her bedroom. Good thing. My craft room
(studio) is not big enough for the both of us!

My problem is I don't have just one "drug" of choice. Michael's is a dangerous place! I love doing so many different things. Jewelry and polymer clay, stamping and card making, candle making and bath products, painting and crochet are some of the outlets my creativity takes. Other things I would love to try--mosaics, stained glass, lampwork, metalsmithing. There just not enough hours in the day to make everything! What gets really frustrating is when I "see" a new jewelry design in my head, usually late at night, and I have no way to make it because I don't have the beads. If only I could take pictures of what I "see."

I love leaves, the texture and color of wood and stone, glass and metal, the beautiful colors of nature that God, the Master Artist, has painted our world with.
