About

I am a stay-at-home mom of four boys. One day I was getting fed up with all the broken toys at the bottom of the toy box and realized that the kids have more fun making forts out of all the sheets they drag out of the linen closet and the towels we tie around there necks to make capes. I saw a cape at a craft boutique that I knew I could improve on, so I made my own patterns and HomeMadeHeroes4u was born. I have been sewing these capes for about seven years now - I first started out pretty small, selling at preschools and craft fairs, but since I started on etsy, my business has really taken off. The capes have gone through rigorous trials (care of my own children) and are made out of a cotton-blend fabric that is totally washable and dryable. I suppose my greatest joy about these capes is the hours of imaginative play they inspire and that for awhile our children feel like they are truly heroes.
