Helen Smith's Profile

About

I live on the edge of the Wirral peninsula in NW England, a place of wide views and beautiful sunsets. The colours and the textures of the shore have a strong influence on my work.

I work in both printmaking, paper and stitch, but recently completed a BA Design: Applied Arts degree, specialising in glass, so my practice is expanding to include this new medium.

Although I usually work with natural colours and textures, I love bright colours too. So I also make fabulous fake flowers, from fabric, ribbon, upcycled plastic bags, and anything else that looks promising! You can find them in my other shop http://ffflowers.etsy.com
