Amanda Thomason's Profile

About

Prior to "retiring" from the wonderful world of full-time retail, I was the sales manager of a fine jewelry store for seven years. In 2005, I received my A.J.P. certification (Accredited Jewelry Professional) from the Gemological Institute of America. My love for jewelry and my interest in jewelry making began at a very young age. My grandfather was a silversmith and rockhound. Both sides of my family have gifted and talented artists and craftsman (and craftswomen!). I love working with sterling silver, gold filled, and bronze. I love textures and antiqued finishes. My passion is precious and semi-precious beads. I like a touch of Asian influence and religious/spiritual symbols. My aesthetic is clean and simple with focus on the beauty of the bead.
