Mosaics, and the process to create them, have been fascinating to me for quite some time. I am awed by the concept that a Master could take something that is broken, perhaps dirty and ragged, and through just the skill of his hands create something new, something of incredible beauty and complexity. I find this concept to be applicable not just in art, but in life as well--hence my studio name, Mosaic Life.
This term appeals to me because of the eclectic nature of my personality. I have more hobbies and interests than I know what to do with, and I will often take parts of one interest and meld it with another to create a new passion. As of right now I read, knit, spin and dye yarn, scrapbook, dabble in photography, enjoy games and graphic/web design, and write occasionally.
Beyond art, my life is also full with teaching and guiding my children. My husband...
