About

I have always been inspired by the elements of nature and have loved creating things since I was a little girl. I have spent the last 9 years as a massage therapist and although I love doing massage, my individual artistic spirit was somehow not satisfied.

My love of creating things out of wood comes from years of watching my dad build wonderful wood furniture. What I love about working with wood is that it has a character and a past. Wood has aroma, texture and natural beauty that can be shaped almost any way that your mind can devise.

I spent a year studying at Selkirk College in Nelson BC which is well known for its Fine Woodworking program. It is there that I learned many of the skills that I put into place in my work. My goal is to produce objects that combine art with everyday function.
