She tried different techniques. Annie then bought embossing powder and a heat gun to see if she could learn this diffucult techique. Annie learned to emboss by reading the directions on the bottle of embossing powder. It was the techique she liked best and uses to this day.

What began as a hobby for Annie soon became so much more. She started out by making cards for her personal use-sending to family and friends. For a few years, she even made calanders as gifts. Annie soon found herself with inquires as to whether her cards were for sale. She even for a short time found her cards being sold at a small local flower shop in a town not far from her home. Although these days, she mainly makes cards, she has made a set of musical bingo cards and business cards.

The challenge for Annie in creating a card is being able to get the image in her mind to look good on paper. Sometimes it works and sometimes it does not. The joy Annie receives from making the cards is knowing she has put a smile on someone's face with her creation.
