The Recycled Album Art Cover Coasters are the awesome concept born in the summer of 2008. In August of 2008 with just a dozen or so coaster sets we opened our Etsy shop. We quickly discovered that to better service our customer base, we needed to have a wide variety of sets available to select from. Hubby worked on developing a method to handcraft the album cover coasters while I worked on learning about marketing, shipping, and searching for more albums. Our journey has led us to meeting and working with the most amazing customers who shared their personal stories regarding the particular album or band.

Hubby used the album cover from tired old vinyl records and turning them into an eye catching nine piece puzzle disguised as album cover coasters. When was the last time you held a coaster and you immediately flashed back to when you were a young hip kid? When was the last time you gave a gift to your dad and you immediately became the "golden' child". Enough about the wonders of our Recycled Album Art Cover Coasters. Let's get down to how in the world the amazing coaster/puzzle sets are created.

To start with, we go through our collection. Okay we have spent our fair share of time at auctions and garage sells to build up an amazing collection of scratched and warped records. We select a batch of memories, no I mean albums. Next, we take them to the cutting floor. Hubby has his way with them, slicing, gluing and sanding them to perfection. Hubby and I take turns on who gets to caress the lovelies and put on their cute little felt or cork feet and the four layers of glossy finish. The final step is sliding the little beauties in the curing racks.

RECYCLED ALBUM ART COASTERS
We use the original album cover to create the 9 unbreakable coasters. The album cover is laminated to a piece of 1/2" thick Baltic birch plywood, then cut in to 3 7/8" by 3 7/8" squares. To protect the unique beauty of the album jacket, the coasters are protected with four layers of polyurethane, a clear moisture resistant finish. These unique coasters are a snap to keep clean, just wipe them off with a damp cloth or a disinfectant wipes. Each coaster has 4 felt or cork pads attached to the underside to protect your furniture.

HEAT WARPED VINYL RECORD BASKET
The actual vinyl record is heat formed and shaped into unique basket. The wacky basket can be used to hold the nine coasters, remotes, keys, cell phones, mail, or as a decorative centerpiece for your desk or table. To clean your warped vinyl bowl, just wipe with a damp cloth.
