About

I love dolls house miniatures. I work in twelfth scale (also known as 1", and specialise in Gothic/Tudor, Shabby Chic and Country styles and have done for nearly twenty years. I also love bears and have a collection of about 200, all under 8" in height.

I live in England with my husband but am an American, born and bred in California, where three of my four grown daughters and their families live, the other in Alaska. I do some custom work, mainly with furniture colors or changes in Bed Linens. I recently made a Christmas Kitchen and a child's bedroom to order. I welcome your requests.

Every item that appears on my site has been handcrafted in some way by me, using unfinished pieces of furniture, adding details appropriate to the era they belong to. Staining and edge carving and ageing or distressing Medieval and country pieces, or hand painting and then hand distressing farm pieces. Shabby chic pieces are hand painted in either white or duck egg blue and then hand finished with tiny rosebuds and random gold brushings.

Etsy requires me to tell you how my items are finished, so I also add further details in some cases, filling hutches and tables with era food and dishes, which can add interest to your dollhouses. If it is in the photo it is included in your purchase.

I hope you will grab a cup of tea or coffee, or a glass of wine and have a gentle browse through my selections. Each section contains matching or co ordinating pieces. Buy one or two today and be confident that you can find matching items in the future. Start a collection for yourself or a child and add to it for birthdays and holidays. Visit our Nursery or Apple Cottage or one of the other sections, and don't leave out the Accessories as they are what help turn a house into a home. Enjoy! hugs, Judith
