About

I have known from a very young age that it was possible to play for a living, as I grew up watching my glassblower father enjoy his craft and his work. Our family traveled all over the East Coast displaying his art at art shows, and I soaked up designs and ideas from my father and from many of the artists we enjoyed meeting along the way.

After a stint working in the “real world”, I’ve decided to join my father’s ranks to truly enjoy what I do and to learn to do it well. So, naturally, I have turned to glassblowing. I am so proud to say that I now play for a living, too! I work with my father’s business by day, and in the evenings I blow my own glasswork in his studio.

It has been challenging to master glassblowing, especially since I have to divide my time between my glasswork and my family.

As I learn, my father’s support, technique, and knowledge have been such a blessing. Perhaps most important is the freedom that he has given me to experiment and make mistakes. And as those mistakes produce broken and misshapen pieces, he has taught me to think outside the box and come up with new designs that can often incorporate those lovely pieces.

Each piece of my glass is hand-blown in the studio, creating my own original designs and color combinations. I love working with each piece that I create, and I love what I do. I hope that I can share my playful creations with you, and that they may brighten your corner of the world.
