I'm an embroiderer/seamstress/bellydancer/"Jill-of-a-lot-of-trades" holed up in a small town in north Alabama.
I started bellydancing in 2001. Bellydancing quickly led to sewing because it was easier to make what I wanted than it was to buy it. I started a website to sell basics like harem pants, skirts and cholis in about 2003. Christmas of 2008 I asked my husband for an embroidery machine. I pictured a small home machine that I could use to embellish dance clothes and maybe to make some cute things, but that wasn't what fate (or my darling hubby) had in store for me. Early January 2009, Rosie was delivered to my home. Rosie is an SWF 601 Compact machine who rapidly became my best bud.
After Rosie entered my life, I quickly became addicted to embroidery. I'm learning to digitize and am working on making some of my own designs…
