Laurie Gysbers' Profile

About

My mother taught my two sisters and me how to sew at a very early age. Being the youngest, I must have driven her nuts, because when she finished teaching me, she never sewed again. Therefore I inherited her sewing machine, her skills and her patience. With a continuing passion for sewing I make one-of-a-kind creations by either designing my own patterns or changing commercial ones.

In the past 15 years quilting has become my addiction. My quilts are unique sampler quilts. I can’t bear making the same squares over and over, nor can I use the same fabric repeatedly. The tiniest bits of fabric find their way into my quilts.
