I'm a native of Russia. I discovered my love of woodworking at the orphanage where I grew up. From my early attempt at building wooden bows and arrows, I taught my self to build chairs and birdhouses. Which were useful to the orphanage.
I began taking woodworking classes as a teenager. But because the students were not allowed to use power tools, I learned the craft by hand. At the age of 18, I moved to the United States to pursue my education. I was an accomplished at the traditional wooden boat building school in Rockland, Maine, where I boned my woodworking skills and learned to build the boats. I recalls my teachers saying, “ if you can build a boat , you can build everything.
