As a child I always wanted a great big old house with a great big old attic full of treasures. As a grown up I dont want a great big old house (unless I can have someone else come clean it lol)

So here I have my very own virtual attic, no cobwebs, no spiders, just treasure of my own making, plus some antiques and collectables that I cant list on this site :)

I started sewing in highschool and loved it. Quite often I would go to the market on a saturday morning and have a new outfit by that evening. One of the things I liked about making my own clothes was knowing I would never meet anyone else wearing the same thing :)

My 3 yr old neice thinks she has 1000 dresses and night dresses and anything else I may have made. I usually make a sample in her size when I first…

My 3 yr old neice thinks she has 1000 dresses and night dresses and anything else I may have made. I usually make a sample in her size when I first try out a new design. That way I can get her to try them and make any needed adjustments to the pattern. Then of couse she can model them for my catalog.... Every now and then I actually let her keep one... I am so kind lmao

Jakis Attic is a joint venture between myself and my wonderful husband Bob. We met over the internet in 2000, and in 2007 I finally made a visit from UK to USA. and I'm still here. Married, and happy. :)

5 weeks after getting married we took "temperary" custody of Bobs young nephew and neice (they were 8 and 2 at the time) A year later they are still with us, and it looks like they may be here for another year still. (Update..... 4yrs now and they are still here!!!)

My neice, who is now 6 1/2 loves me sewing. She loves to model new creations. She doesnt think its fair that she doesnt get to keep all of them tho lol Having said that, she does have a pretty full closet. :)
