About

Welcome to my shop. I have been painting full time for around ten years and love my vocation and my freedom to express that which is beautiful in my own way. I have exhibited and sold my paintings in a wide variety of venues and galleries in Maryland and North Carolina,My paintings are a reflection of things that are most dear to me. For most of my life I lived in Maryland's Chesapeake Bay region. Growing up near the largest estuary in the United States permitted me to spend much of my free time on and near the Bay and many of its beautiful estuaries.

It was there that I acquired my love of the water and the wildlife living there, and has made it easy for me to find subjects for my art. I feel a comfort and connection with the water, the wetlands and the creatures that live in these beautiful places. Many of the joys I've experienced have taken place in secluded settings, almost too beautiful to express, although I try to convey these images and reflect the beauty in my paintings. While I paint a wide range of subjects, most of my paintings have a connection to the water. I enjoy painting many types of marine life and waterfowl, as well as landscapes, and still life. In 2006 my husband and I moved to the Falls Lake area north of Raleigh. This provides us a portal to the many nearby lakes while still allowing us easy access to the lovely and serene coastal areas of North Carolina
