Jane Trieweiler's Profile

About

I grew up in Dubuque, Iowa. When I was nine years old, my great aunt (a nun) was visiting our home. She taught me how to make rosaries with wire and beads. That is the beginning of my knowledge and interest in working with these materials. As an adult, living in California, I rekindled interest in creating objects. I started by making the simplest of jewelry pieces. I began buying instruction books on jewelry-making. My friend, Robin Wade (who also has an Etsy site), was an inspiration to me. She pushed me to learn a little more each time I saw her.

I love working with my hands. I especially enjoy making chains of various types. I also play the cello and enjoy kayaking.
