I'm back.

I'm Jeff Cox and I have a business called Nature's Woodworking. Over the years I've been getting away from the "typical" woodworking. I look for wood with wild grains, knots or growths. Or if there is a piece of wood with a great curve. When I find a piece of wood with great characteristics, I'll make that the focal point. Then there is an oil I like to use that changes the looks of the wood from different angles. I incorporate touch into my pieces. It is important that people interact with my larger pieces. Not only are they pleasent on the eyes but they are nice to touch. Even my smalls have something special. Whether it be the grain, the spalting or the staining. I also enjoy working with book matched lumber. This allows to to create natural designs from the wood grain alone. One other thing I work with is epoxy. This allows me to fill in bad areas and secure cracks…

This allows me to fill in bad areas and secure cracks. The epoxy can be colored but I perfer a natural color.

My belief is that the beauty of wood already exists, it just needs to be enhanced.
