About

Hi, Jelveh here, I am a 40 some odd year old glass artist, mostly I make glass beads for jewelry, from small to large focal beads, I do blow some glass at my torch, most of that art work I keep for me for now...often its hard for me to let go of my glass beads, I love making them...however I come across a few issues if I kept them all, for one thing, where would I put the thousands of beads I have made since early 2000...so I offer them to designers & collectors of Lampwork beads all over the world...I have been successfully selling my beads on my web site www.Jelvehdesigns.com & ebay since 2000 & now here on etsy since 2007

Often, about 4 days a week, a few hours a day, you will find me behind my torch in my studio (which I share with Grace my studio partner & owner of Graceful Customs) in Gilroy California where I teach lampworking/beadmaking classes as well...teaching is such a soft word for what I do, I actually turn these poor unsuspecting students to Glass Addicts & bring them in to my world...years later, while they too are buried under a pile of glass in their own studios, making awesome art, they barely remember where their madness & love of melting glass started, just that they have to do it...

Once a year for two weeks I teach classes in Istanbul Turkey at the Glass Furnace...I love my job...I also teach classes at my studio in Gilroy California...send me a convo if you are interested...

Come over & see me...2500 degree flame on the torch, my kiln ramped up 960 degrees, tools & glass from one end of the bench to the other, Rose colored glasses on my eyes, music in my ears, the fans going, mandrel in one hand, glass rod in the other, melting away...I am in heaven...

I live & play with my great husband (best friend) & our 2 awesome pets, our puppy Mooshi and our guinea pig Mr. Ari

hope you enjoy my art as much as I enjoy making it...
